What is Global Organic Textile Standards ?

Many Organic clothing brands are now tagging their cloths with GOTS. Although many of you just cut that tag & throw it away. If you observe there is some logo like this.GOTS-logo

Why you should Know?

We will just make you aware about this standard. Many of Organic clothing brands are certified with GOTS & you want to check it then you can see it on the tag. Many brands are selling 100% Organic clothing but out of that, very few are GOTS certified. 
Not just branding but the standard also includes Environmental factors, Wages to workers, No Animal products like Leather etc. Farm to Fashion all activities are monitored by this standard & then the product will get GOTS certification.

What Is GOTS?

GOTS is an abbreviation of Global Organic Textile Standard which is the international standard. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

Aim of GOTS -

GOTS is meant to be Eco-friendly fashion available for everyone. Many of the clothing brands are making garments which are made from highly toxic cotton which was intoxicated during its production by using pesticides & fertilizers.

The cotton mills, manufacturing plants are using different chemicals like dyes, inks, printing colours for making garments. All these chemicals are then released into the environment with few treatments or no treatments. All caused is water pollution.

GOTS actually not supporting these practices & only stick to the organic farming technique like natural fertilizers & chemicals which are not harmful to the environment.

The Aim of GOTS is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.

Why we took this certification??

Many brands are selling huge clothing collections throughout the country. Some of them are also selling for infants, babies, kids because of harmful chemical residues which were present in garments many kids have a skin allergy, rashes & other skin problem. To change this  & to provide sustainable clothing & safe garments we have took this certification to make transparent relations to our customers.
